Aalborg Zoo is located near the center of Aalborg and is visited on an annual basis by around 500,000 guests. The garden is approx. 8 hectares in size and has been here since April 1935.

At Aalborg Zoo, no two days are the same, and the garden's overall purpose is nature conservation - directly through international cooperation around breeding and indirectly through the dissemination of knowledge about endangered animals.

Have a wonderful day in the garden and enjoy your brought food on one of the lawns or the many dining areas. You can also visit one of the many eateries in the garden, where you can buy everything from homemade pizza to burgers, salads and snacks. You can also bring your own picnic basket with barbecue food, which you can grill on the barbecues set up in the barbecue area, which is directly opposite the playful polar bears. , or use the barbecues set up in the barbecue area by the playground with a direct view of the polar bears.

You can become smart about, among other things elephants and orangutans, join the big soap bubble party and be entertained by Arne Alligator for Children's St. Hans, and watch how the many baby animals around the garden grow big and naughty.

Madagascar Region:

Explore the new Madagascar area, home to several species of lemurs and exotic birds. Guests have the opportunity to visit the wild lemur mecca and experience the fauna entirely at night. This area does not only offer unique features, but also creates contrast with the original design.

The Madagascar Council remains able to maintain both lemurs' large indenter and indenter facilities, consisting of a large number of spherical and other elements necessary for active and productive migration.

Tours and accommodation

Every year at Christmas, there is a real Christmas atmosphere in the zoo's unique setting, and here you can enjoy the beautifully decorated garden for Christmas together with the whole family.

CHRISTMAS IN THE ZOO is open from the end of November to the end of December, and there is much to look forward to.

The youngest can especially look forward to meeting the beautiful Ice Queen, the lovely, cozy Elnis and then, of course, the world's strangest Santa Claus, who has his very own fairytale universe in the garden, on the Zoofariscenen.

The many cozy Christmas stalls with wonderful Christmas goodies and good gift ideas are open from 3 p.m.

In Spisehuset Skovbakken, a delicious Christmas buffet awaits - with all kinds of wonderful Christmas dishes, drinks and sweets.
