The hotel's restaurant and bar offers Nordic-inspired dishes with local ingredients for authentic, high-quality flavours
The renowned Brøndums Hotel, which can rightly be called a piece of Danish cultural history, was originally a grocery store that was expanded with a few rooms for rent back in 1859. The hotel's owner, Degn Brøndum, was a frugal gentleman, but also very ambitious on behalf of the hotel, so the place was expanded countless times and slowly developed from a grocery store to one of Denmark's largest and most famous hotels.
The famous artist Anna Ancher was one of Degn Brøndum's siblings, and she was part of the artist colony that came to Skagen in the 1870s. Over the years, the hotel has hosted several great Danish cultural personalities such as Georg Brandes, Carl Nielsen, Marie and P.S. Krøyer, Holger Drachmann and Anna and Michael Ancher.
The hotel's restaurant and bar serves Nordic-inspired dishes and specialities prepared with local ingredients, ensuring guests authentic taste experiences with a focus on quality. In short, even after 150 years in business, Brøndums Hotel has managed to maintain an authentic and familiar atmosphere that is felt as soon as you step over the threshold.
