Danhostel Frederikshavn City
Northern Jutland charm and Denmark's only palm beach
Northern Jutland charm and Denmark's only palm beach
A few minutes' walk from Frederikshavn's pedestrian streets, the railway station and the Oslo and Gothenburg ferries, you will find Danhostel Frederikshavn. Here you can spend the night in a charming former warehouse from 1857 on the cozy Vägtertorv. We welcome you and your fellow travelers to one of Denmark's nicest Danhostels.
A small city with historical significance
Frederikshavn is in many ways North Jutland's small metropolis, and the history cannot be denied either. If you take one of the guided city walks, you will hear how Tordenskiold had his way in the city in the early 1700s. You will be introduced to the Gunpowder Tower, the city's landmark, which is part of the old fortifications - and perhaps you will also take a tour of Bangsbo Fort, which is a huge bunker complex with more than 3 very large cannons and 70 bunkers built during the Second World War.
