The lumpfish in the Oceanarium
Over the years, the North Sea Oceanarium has often had lumpfish among its fascinating residents, although there may be periods without them. The sunfish are either brought in from Danish waters - typically in the autumn with the help of Danish fishermen - or shipped from Southern Europe as small juveniles and transported safely to Hirtshals.
