Skagen Festival 2025
Skagen Festival
Skagen Festival 2025 takes place from Thursday 3 July to Sunday 6 July in Skagen and offers a unique musical experience with a wide selection of artists from both Denmark and abroad. As Denmark's oldest folk music festival, Skagen Festival has for decades been a meeting point for music lovers, where both established and new talents perform in an atmosphere characterised by community and musical joy.
The festival programme features an impressive line-up of artists. Danish acts include Poul Krebs, Sko/Torp, Rikke Thomsen and band, Tørfisk, Kejser Larsen Band and Karl Kristian and the Big Boys. From abroad, the Scottish folk rock band Skipinnish, the legendary group Wolfstone, JP and the Seeger Session Band from the Netherlands and the Irish folk group Drops of Green will be among those performing. A special treat awaits when Allan Taylor once again gathers a Songwriters Circle, this time with Colum Sands and M.C. Hansen. Hansen, where together they will share their musical stories and songs. The festival will also feature artists such as The Quiggs, Roaring Maggie, Mads Toghøj and band, Folk Friends, Tradish and Flekkefjord Sangforening from Norway.
The festival stretches over four days, where the audience can experience a number of unforgettable concerts on different stages in the city. As early as Thursday evening, guests can look forward to an atmospheric opening with Sko/Torp and Tørfisk on the Spar Nord Stage in Skagen Culture and Leisure Centre. Friday features Allan Taylor's 'Songwriters Circle' and an energetic concert with Wolfstone, while Saturday's programme includes Rikke Thomsen with band and a special concert with Poul Krebs. The festival culminates on Sunday with more great music experiences where new and old traditions come together in a celebration of folk music.
